This update introduces enhancements to our Smart Profile Cookie and a new Express Checkout flow that enables one-tap purchases for the new Kartra Checkout assets, while fully honoring your customers' privacy preferences.
Improvements
Smart Profile Cookie 2.0
We've upgraded our Smart Profile Cookie to enhance performance and privacy (14911):Now set on your root domain and securely passed through the checkout API.
Automatically pre-fills checkout fields with the buyer’s most recent contact information for a smoother purchasing experience.
Fully respects consent: the cookie is only read or written if a visitor has accepted All Cookies. If they later change their settings to Essential Only, Express Checkout is disabled for them.
Express Checkouts
When a shopper’s required details (name, email, etc.) are already saved in their Smart Profile Cookie, Kartra Checkouts now offer a one-tap Express Checkout button for instant purchase. (14951)Available only when there is a previous purchase of a product with recurring payments or installment plans.
Not supported with PayPal, or when using Klarna, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.
NOTE: For now, Express Checkout functionality is only available in the new Kartra Checkouts (Sales > Checkouts). We are working on restoring this feature to Legacy Checkouts (Sales > Products) and will release it in a separate update.
