Add buttons, customize their styles, and set up links—all in a few simple steps.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to:

Add, customize, and style buttons on a Kartra Page to match your brand.
Link buttons to different destinations, from internal pages to external websites, other Kartra content, or downloadable files.
Use buttons strategically to improve conversions, navigation, and engagement.

Where to find buttons: Go to Components > Buttons in the page builder.
Button types: Solid or outlined, with custom sizes, icons, and effects.
Link options: You can link to Kartra pages, media, forms, downloads, or outside websites.
Design tip: Use bold colors and clear text for stronger calls-to-action.

Add a button

Go to Pages and create a page or edit an existing one to launch the Page builder.
Select Components > Buttons from the left navigation menu.
Browse button templates to find the shape and style that suits your needs.
Drag and drop the button to the desired position on the page.
- When a drop zone turns green, release your mouse to place the button

Keep them visible – Place key buttons (like “Sign Up” or “Get Started”) where users can see them without scrolling.
Repeat on long pages – If your page is lengthy, add buttons at multiple points (top, middle, and bottom) so users don’t have to scroll back up.

Customize your button

Hover over your button and click to activate its menu.
Click the pencil icon to open the editing wizard.
Edit the style, text, icon, link, and effects—more about customization options below.
Apply your changes.

Use the Style tab to adjust what your button looks like:

Margins (Optional) – Increase spacing around the button.
Size – Options range from Tiny to Full-width (which spans an entire column). The default is Large.
Type – Choose whether the button appears solid or outlined

You can also add Effects to control how the button appears on hover or when the page loads.

Use contrasting colors – button colors should stand out from the background.
Choose clear call-to-action text – Instead of vague terms like “Click Here,” use “Get Started” or “Download Now.”
Add icons if needed – This helps visually impaired users (e.g., an arrow next to “Learn More”).

In the Link tab, choose what happens when visitors click your button.

Direct users to a page or section

Link to another page

Scroll to a particular section on the page you are editing
- Tip: Press the gear button to expand section settings and confirm a section’s number.

Trigger downloads or play media

Download a file
- Choose from media library or upload a new file
Pop a video player
- Choose video or playlist
- Select from media library or use integrated apps: YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo
Pop a sound player
- Choose from media library or upload a new file

Calls to action

Pop an opt-in form
- Configure your pop-up from template or from scratch after this option is selected
- The form must be created in advance and connected to the pop-up

- The survey must be created in advance
Pop up or redirect to a legacy checkout
- For legacy checkouts generated by Kartra-hosted products
