Interactive features are key to webinar success. Planning your audience interactions in advance ensures a smoother and more engaging live experience. By incorporating interactive elements, you can boost engagement and keep your attendees focused.
Why interaction matters: In a webinar, you're competing with many distractions for your audience’s attention. To stand out, use tools like polls, product offers, videos, handouts, and slides. These elements not only make your content more dynamic but also encourage active participation.
Pro tip
Aim to include at least one interaction for every 10-15 minutes of webinar time. Tools like polls and chat are especially effective for keeping your audience engaged and prompting real-time feedback.
Polls and quizzes
Polls and quizzes are a great strategy to interact with your audience and hold their attention.
To prepare polls before the webinar:
Click Change on the right
Click Add new poll
Enter your poll question and answer options and click Add in the upper right
Enter the answer options exactly how you’d like them to appear
Click Save on the right
Product offer
Plan your product offer before you start to build.
Write your offer name, headline, and any text you’d like to display above or on the button
Select a compelling image
Decide where the offer button will link to, like your sales page or product checkout
Decide if you’d like to apply scarcity and urgency settings. These settings simulate limitations in quantity and time and are only available if you create the offer in the configuration wizard.
To create an offer:
Click Change on the right
Click Add new offer
Enter your offer details and click Add in the upper right
Click Save on the right
Videos
Videos allow you to play a video clip during your webinar. The system will switch from your live broadcast to the video and back to live broadcast when the video is over. Set up your videos ahead of time so you can play them during your live broadcast with the click of a button.
Click Change on the right
Click Add new video
Select the location of your video (Kartra, YouTube or External URL)
Enter the video name and URL and click Add in the upper right
Click Save on the right
Files handouts
Upload all files you’d like to share with your attendees during the webinar and eliminate the need for last minute uploads.
Click Change on the right
Click Add new file
Select the file type
Documents
Images
Audio
Find the file in your User gallery (if it’s already uploaded in Kartra) or click Select files to upload it from your device
Select the correct file and click Confirm in the upper right
Click Save on the right
Slide presentation
Set up your slide presentation ahead of time and share it during your webinar with the click of a button.
Click Change on the right
Click Add new presentation
Find the file in your User gallery (if it’s already uploaded in Kartra) or click Select files to upload it from your device
