You can freeze or cancel your Kartra subscription from the Billing section of your account.

If you plan to return to Kartra and want to preserve your content, freezing is generally the better option.
If you no longer need Kartra and don't want to continue paying a storage fee, cancelling may be more appropriate.

For active paid subscriptions, freezing or cancelling your account takes effect at the end of your current prepaid billing period. You can continue using your subscription until then.

Trial subscriptions are different: cancelling during a trial takes effect immediately, and access ends when the cancellation is processed.

If you need your paid subscription cancelled immediately rather than at the end of the billing cycle, contact Kartra support. Immediate cancellation cannot be completed through the regular self-service cancellation process.

Freeze your account

Freezing pauses your regular subscription while keeping your account content and setup stored for future use.

Instead of your regular subscription payment, you'll be charged a $9.99 monthly storage fee, plus any applicable taxes.

While your account is frozen:

Your content and account setup remain stored, but you cannot access or edit them.
Your hosted pages, websites, files, and other Kartra assets become unavailable to visitors.
You retain access to your Profile, Billing, and Affiliate sections.
You can update your payment information, email address, and password.
You can reactivate your account when you're ready to return.

Before freezing your account

Freezing your account also affects customers who access content through Kartra.

If you have customers with active recurring subscriptions, cancel those subscriptions before freezing your account. Otherwise, customers may continue being charged for content they can no longer access.

Payment processors may not stop recurring charges immediately when your account becomes inactive, so additional charges are possible if subscriptions remain active.

You should also download any files you need before the freeze takes effect, since hosted files and assets become inaccessible afterward.

How to freeze your account

In your Kartra account:

Click the Profile avatar in the top right corner of the dashboard
Select Billing from the dropdown menu
On the billing page, locate your current plan and click Cancel
In the cancel pop-up, select Freeze my account
- Tick the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions of the change
- Select your reason for freezing from the dropdown menu (Optional)
Click Confirm at the top right

A banner appears in your account indicating that your freeze request is pending.

Your account will be frozen automatically at the end of your current billing cycle.

Cancel a pending freeze request

If you change your mind before your account is frozen:

Go to Billing.
Click Keep using Kartra.

This reverses the pending freeze request so you can continue using your subscription.

If your account has already been frozen, you'll need to reactivate it instead.

Cancel your subscription

Cancelling ends your Kartra subscription when your current paid billing period expires.

Unlike freezing, cancellation does not guarantee that your account content will be preserved.

Before cancelling your subscription

Keep the following in mind:

You can continue using Kartra until the end of your current billing cycle.
Your access to Kartra's features and hosted content ends when your subscription expires.
Your account data may be gradually deleted after cancellation.
There is no guarantee that your content will remain available if you decide to return later.

If you think you might return to Kartra and want to preserve your account setup, consider freezing your account instead.

How to cancel your subscription

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of your Kartra dashboard.
Select Billing.
Find your current subscription plan.
Click Cancel.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the cancellation.

Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing cycle.

Once your prepaid period ends, your Kartra service stops automatically.
