You can purchase a new domain from your Kartra account to use with your business email address. When you purchase a domain from the DKIM setup page, Kartra automatically configures the DKIM authentication needed to send email from that domain through KartraMail.
Use this option if you don't already own a domain that you want to use for your sender address.
If you already own a domain with another provider, you don't need to purchase a new one. Instead, see Set up DKIM for KartraMail to authenticate your existing domain.
Before you buy a domain
A domain and an email inbox are separate services.
Kartra provides outgoing email delivery through KartraMail, but doesn't provide mailbox hosting. If you want to receive email at an address on your new domain, such as [email protected], you'll also need a mailbox from an email hosting provider.
During the domain purchase, you can purchase mailbox hosting from IONOS or use another provider that supports custom-domain email addresses.
Using your domain with other Kartra assets
Purchasing a domain from the DKIM setup configures the domain for email authentication. It doesn't connect the domain for use with Kartra pages, checkouts, or other assets.
If you also want to use the domain with your Kartra pages, consider purchasing and connecting it from the Domains section instead.
Buy a domain
Go to Settings > Domains > DKIM.
Click + DKIM and select Buy a domain.
Search for the domain name you want to purchase.
Kartra opens the IONOS website in a new tab. IONOS is Kartra's domain partner.
Choose an available domain and any additional services you want, then complete your purchase.
After the purchase, Kartra automatically begins setting up DKIM authentication for the new domain.
Your domain appears under Settings > Domains > DKIM with a Processing status while the connection is being created.
Once the status changes to Connected, the domain is authenticated and you can use it to send email through KartraMail.
