Manually add a contact to a sequence

Contacts can be manually subscribed to a sequence at any time. Subscription can be managed in an individual contact's profile or as a batch action from All contacts.

Subscribe multiple contacts

From All contacts:

  1. Select all the contacts you want to add to the sequence.

Use a batch action to subscribe more than one lead to a sequence
  2. Click the three dots above the contacts table.

  3. Select Sequences > Subscribe in the drop-down menu.

  4. In the pop-up, select a sequence and the step where you want the leads to start. Once subscribed, they will progress through the rest of the sequence from that step.

Select a sequence and the step to subscribe the lead to
  5. Click Subscribe in the top right corner to finish the action.

Subscribe one person

From All contacts:

  1. Click on a contact's name to open their profile

  2. Click Sequences in the menu near the top of the profile

Sequence subscription details are found in a lead's profile
    • All current and past sequences the lead has been subscribed to appear here

    • You can see the name of each sequence, the step they are currently on, the date of subscription, the date of unsubscription (if applicable), and a button to unsubscribe or resubscribe.

  3. Select a new sequence from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the profile window, then the step where you want the lead to start. Once subscribed, they will progress through the rest of the sequence from that step.

  4. Click Add to complete the action.

Important:

Contacts are automatically removed from a sequence if they pass through the same sequence more than three times within a 30-day period.

This helps prevent contacts from getting stuck in a cycle where they're repeatedly added to the same sequence. If this happens, review your automation rules or sequence actions to make sure they aren't re-adding contacts unintentionally.
