To ensure CAN-SPAM compliance, you must add and maintain a valid mailing address in your account profile.

The CAN-SPAM Act requires all commercial emails to include a valid physical mailing address where the sender can be reached. Kartra automatically adds your company name and address to the footer of all email messages sent by your account.

These details come from the address fields in your account profile.

To update the company name or address in your CAN-SPAM email footer:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Add or edit the company and/or address fields. The email footer displays:
    • Company
    • Address
    • City
    • Postal code
    • Country
    • State
  3. Save the profileKartra account profile address fields

By default, the address saved in your profile is the information collected during checkout or original account creation.

Pro tip

  • For compliance with CAN-SPAM, the mailing address can be your current street address or a registered post office box. The address used is visible to every person you send an email to.
  • The address in your profile will be shown on your Kartra subscription invoices (where you are the buyer) and on invoices issued by your account to your customers (where you are the seller).
