Scoring is possible when creating a survey with the Scored quiz or Personality quiz types.
- Scored quizzes use percentage-based scoring (e.g. Score is 87%)
- Personality quizzes use total-value scoring (e.g. Score is 34)
Once captured, a lead’s survey score can be used in automations and for segmentation in other areas of your account.
To define correct answers and scores in a quiz:
- Go to Contacts > Surveys and open or create a new Scored quiz or Personality quiz.
- In the Questions section, click Edit to open the survey builder.
- Add or select Questions in the left sidebar to open them in the canvas.
- Hover over the response fields area in the canvas and click the orange edit icon that appears. A configuration panel opens on the right side of the screen.
- Edit the text of each answer and add a Custom field question. The “question” gives the field a name for reference in other areas of your account.
- Set the score value (see images below):
- In a scored quiz, tick the checkbox to indicate the correct answer for each question.
- In a personality quiz, select a number value between -10 and +10 for each option.
- Configure each additional question in the quiz.
- Use the Actions button in the top-right of the builder to Save & Exit when you are finished.
Note: A lead’s survey (quiz) score applies only to that specific quiz or survey and is calculated based on the responses selected. It does not affect the contact’s lead score (lead profile score), which is a separate value used to track overall engagement and can be adjusted independently. To track engagement across your entire account, see how to use contact scoring.
