Adding a form to a Kartra page is a straightforward way to start collecting contact information and build your email list. Follow this guide to create your page, add a form, and share it so people can start opting in.

Before adding a form to your page, make sure you have a form ready to use.

  1. Go to Contacts > Forms.
  2. Click + Form, then build and publish your opt-in form. Learn how to create a form.

Tip: Keep your form simple. Ask only for essential details like name and email to encourage more people to sign up.

Follow Along: Add your Form to a Kartra Page

Step 1: Create your page

  1. In Kartra, go to Pages > All pages.
  2. Click the + Page button in the upper right corner to create a new page.
  3. Choose a page template:
    • For a quick start, select a Squeeze Page template (these are designed for collecting contact information).
    • Tip: A squeeze page (also known as a lead capture or opt-in page) makes it easy to gather contact details. These templates come with a form placeholder, saving you time.
  4. Click Create to open the page builder.

Step 2: Add your form to the page

  1. In the page builder, find the form placeholder on your template.
  2. Click the placeholder, then click the Edit icon.
  3. From the drop-down, select an opt-in form (e.g., "Free eBook Opt-in").
  4. Click Apply to link your form to the page.

You should now see your form appear on the page.

Step 3: Customize your page

Take a moment to personalize the page:

  1. Edit text: Update headlines and descriptions to match your offer.
  2. Add images: Replace any default images with your own.
  3. Logo: Add your logo to build trust with visitors.
  4. Links: Update menus and buttons to link to other pages or content, or remove them.

Tip: Make your call-to-action clear and compelling, such as “Download Your Free Guide” or “Get Instant Access.” Your message on this page should encourage people to use your form to opt-in.

Step 4: Publish your page

  1. Once your page is finished, click Actions > Publish Live.
  2. Click Get the Page Link to get your shareable URL.
    • You can customize the URL if desired. Click the edit icon, select your domain from the drop-down (if connected), and edit the ending part of the link.

Step 5: Share your page

Now that your page is live, share the link to start collecting contacts:

  • Email: Include the link in your newsletters or follow-up emails.
  • Website: Add the link to your website's call-to-action buttons.
  • Social Media: Share the link on your social media profiles or posts.
  • Ads: Add the link to an ad campaign designed to grow your list.

Tip: Use a clear message when sharing, such as “Grab your free guide here!” to encourage sign-ups.

When people submit the form on your page, a contact record is created for them in Kartra. Now you can include them in targeted emails and marketing campaigns!

More options for adding forms

For more design flexibility, here are a few additional ways to add forms in the Page Builder:

  1. Add a New Section:
    1. Click Add Section in the page builder canvas where you want the new section to appear.
      • The Add Section button appears when you hover between two existing sections or at the top/bottom of the page.
    2. Select a template block under Opt-in Forms and click to add it to the page.
    3. Edit the form component in the section to link your form.
  2. Use a Form Component:
    1. In the left sidebar, select Components, then Forms.
    2. Select a form type
    3. Drag a form component into your page and link your form.

These options give you more control over the page layout and form placement.

Final tips

  • Test your page: Visit the link yourself and submit the form to make sure everything works smoothly.
  • Stay simple: The fewer steps visitors have to take, the more likely they are to opt-in.
  • Promote consistently: Share your page regularly to keep growing your list.

Now you're ready to collect contacts and build your audience. Happy marketing!
