Send text messages to your leads using a single-send Broadcast or part of an automated Sequence flow.

Important: An SMS gateway integration is required to send text messages from Kartra. Learn how to add an SMS integration.

Broadcast SMS

Create a Broadcast if you want to send the message immediately or at a specific scheduled time. In your account, go to Communications > Communications > Broadcasts.

  1. Click add Broadcast or open an existing one.
  2. Select Send by SMS at the first step of the builder.
  3. Select your SMS gateway from the drop-down. The SMS gateway is the service that delivers the message to the final recipient(s).
  4. Complete the wizard to compose your message and specify who will receive it.

At the end of the wizard, you can choose to send it immediately or schedule it for a later date and time.

Sequence SMS

Create a Sequence if you want to add a test message to an automated marketing sequence that a lead may be subscribed to at any time. In your account, go to Communications > Communications > Sequences.

  1. Click add Sequence or open an existing one.
  2. From the left side menu, drag a Send SMS step into the sequence canvas.
  3. Choose to send the message immediately when a lead arrives at the step after entering the sequence, or delay sending.
  4. At the Gateway step, select your SMS gateway from the drop-down.
  5. Complete each step of the configuration wizard.
  6. Connect the SMS step to the rest of the sequence and Activate it.

When the SMS step is active and connected to the sequence, it will be sent when a lead is subscribed to the sequence and reaches the configured timing.
