SEO Parameters

SEO is an acronym for "Search Engine Optimization." SEO parameters contain information about your page that are used by search engines and can help you achieve better search ranking. This helps people find you online more easily!

Here is an example of the search results in Google for the keyword "Kartra." The results show Kartra's web address, then a SEO title (1) and SEO meta description (2).

Page meta keywords do not appear on the page or in search results, but help search engines determine what your page content contains.

Page author may appear in a search result like the title and description shown in the image above. You may want to include a name in this field if the page is a blog post or an article. Page author is only displayed by some search engines.

Open Graph (OG) settings are used when a page is shared on a social media website. You may have seen an image and description display automatically when you shared a link on Facebook or X. The image and text that showed up were controlled by the Open Graph settings on the page you shared.

Use Page OG:Title and Page OG:Description to specify a title and description for social media sharing that is unique from the meta values you provided above. Upload an image to Page OG:Image to select an image to be displayed.

Click the Hide from search engines toggle to hide the page from being indexed by search engines. You may want to do this if the page is a thank you page or something else you want hidden.

Tracking Codes

Use the tracking code fields to add custom code to the header (Javascript only), body, or footer of the page code.

The final box is a special box designed just for Facebook Ads.

Assign tags to people who visit your pages.

To be tagged, a visitor must:

  • Be an existing lead in your account.
  • Have an active browser cookie from your account identifying them as a lead.

Cookies are applied when a lead interacts with your content in a way that identifies them, like submitting their information through a contact form or clicking a link in an email you sent them.

The tag settings are a great way to track people who arrive on a page after completing a purchase or after clicking through from an email.

Page Redirect

Turn on a page redirect if you want to immediately send visitors to a different page after they arrive on this one.

Click the toggle to Activate redirect.

  • Choose Redirect everybody to send every visitor to a different Kartra page or external URL. This can be useful if the contents of a page is out of date but you want to prevent a broken link if the URL has already been widely distributed.
  • Choose Certain users only to specify who should be redirected.
    • Select the redirect criterion based on list subscription, sequence subscription, or tag assignment.
      • Only one redirect criterion can be selected per page.
      • The page visitor must have a browser cookie identifying them as a lead in your account for conditional redirection to work. Kartra must be able to match them to a lead in order to determine their subscription or tag status.
