What is a “beta”?

A beta version is an early release of software shared with a larger group of users before the official launch—a sneak peek at a future version before it goes live.

A beta period gives users a preview that’s nearly finished and typically follows in-house testing. Feedback from beta participants helps developers fine-tune the software, ensuring the final version meets real user needs.

We’re excited to offer Kartra 7.0 as our first-ever user beta!

Who is the Kartra 7.0 Beta for?

All paid Kartra users automatically get access to a full-featured preview account to experience the new 7.0 version. If you’re eager to explore what’s coming before the official release, this is for you!

What will I experience in the beta?

Your beta account includes every Kartra feature, even those outside your current plan, and won't affect your regular account. It’s a separate environment where you can try things without impacting your day-to-day work. Everything you build stays private, so it's just for you and your team to see.

In the beta, you'll explore all the new features and updates coming in 7.0 before they go live in your regular account. Check the release notes for a full overview of everything new and improved.

Note: Certain live functions—like email delivery, domain connections, and checkout processing—won’t be active in the beta.

Important: Content created in your beta account can’t be transferred to your live account. We encourage you to experiment and have fun, but remember, your beta access will end once the preview period is over.

When will I get access to the beta? Do I need to do anything?

Access will automatically roll out to all paid users by October 1—no sign-up needed! Once your access is ready, you’ll see a banner in your account with a button to launch the beta.

Is anything restricted in my beta account?

Some features relying on external systems are unavailable in the beta, including:

  • Profile, Billing, Agency, and Domain sections are fully disabled and do not appear in your beta account menus at all.
  • Automated sequences won’t run. Leads can be added to sequences but they won’t move forward.
  • Email delivery is inactive. You can build emails, but they won’t send or arrive. The mail service is completely disabled.
  • Campaign sharing won’t work. You can generate share codes, but they won’t work to deploy content in a live account.
  • Affiliate sign-ups are not active. You can try the affiliate tools with your beta products, but no one will be able to sign up to promote those products.
  • Live purchasing will not work. You can create products and see how the checkout forms work, but you will not be able to process real payments.

How can I give feedback?

We’ve designed Kartra 7.0 to make your experience smoother and faster. We’d love to hear how well it’s working for you—whether it’s great, okay, or needs improvement. Every piece of feedback will be read and shared with our development team.

There are two easy ways to share your thoughts:

  • Feature feedback: After you publish a new asset in your beta account, you’ll see a screen asking about your experience with that feature.
  • General feedback: For overall comments, click the "Leave feedback" button in the bottom right corner of any page in your account to open the Kartra Help Center and submit your thoughts.

What happens when the beta ends?

Once the beta ends, your preview account will close, and the access banner will disappear from your account. Once Kartra 7.0 is live in your regular account, you can start using the new tools to create real content.

Remember that anything built in the beta account won’t transfer over, so be sure to take screenshots if there’s anything you want to keep for reference.
