Customize membership URL address

The base of your default login page’s URL is used for every link in your membership, including all subcategories and posts.

Examples:

• yourusername.kartra.com/portal/abcd1234/post/123
• yourusername.kartra.com/portal/abcd1234/subcategory/123

Kartra assigns each one a number automatically to keep your internal links consistent, even if you rename items later.

Linking your own domain to a membership's default login page URL will ensure that all links within the membership use your domain.

Customize your membership URL

Once you’ve connected your custom domain to Kartra, you can update your membership’s main URL to use it. You can also rename the membership subdirectory to something meaningful, such as your course name.

To customize your membership's URL:

1. Go to Memberships > All memberships
2. Click your membership’s name
3. Hover over the link address at the top of the page and click the pencil icon to edit it.

In the pop-up window:

1. Click the pencil icon next to the URL box.
   
2. Keep the first dropdown as “Kartra’s default login page”.
3. Select your custom domain from the second drop-down (#1 in the screenshot below).
4. (Optional) Edit the final part of the link (the random ID) to a recognizable name such as “yourcourse” (#2 in the screenshot below).
5. Click the checkmark button to save.
